Wantirna Health – Residential Aged Care Development

Location: Mountain Highway, Wantirna
Contractor: Croft Contracting Pty Ltd

The Victorian Government is investing $81.58 million to build the new Wantirna residential aged care facility. This 120-bed development will improve resident privacy, dignity and independence while delivering best-practice care in a home-like environment. The Wantirna residential aged care facility will be completed in the second half of 2022. The Wantirna residential aged care development will be located next to the existing Wantirna Health service. This will create an integrated healthcare hub, making it easier for aged care residents to access medical attention.

The aged care service has been designed to be dementia-friendly and suited to the needs of older people with complex care or limited mobility. The minimal movement of these patients makes it the utmost priority to create a solution for the fresh air circulation in the building space for their wellbeing and living in a healthier environment. The Contemporary model for the new Wantirna aged care development contributes towards the residents’ physical and mental wellbeing.

Armcor committed to provide reliable and economical fresh air solutions by manufacturing two of its energy recovery XEM External Mount Units for this project. With a capacity of 3000 l/sec including sensible heat exchange media and EC Plug Fans, these units provide the necessary conditioned fresh air requirements to the building space.

Another successfully completed project.
