The iconic new precinct, Victoria University, on schedule to open at the start of the academic year in 2022, will provide state-of-the-art teaching facilities in a striking vertical campus in the heart of Melbourne’s legal and commercial district. The VU City Tower consolidates several VU’s city facilities into a 5-star green-rated, industry-leading building. The 32 Level Commercial office and Educational Tower will be home to some of the many higher education and TAFE courses covering the areas of business, health, beauty, education, and English language. The campus is a thoughtfully created space and a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

Armcor Air Solutions have been excited to be able to provide their energy efficient solutions to the Victoria University, Melbourne’s tallest vertical campus. VU Tower is a building that represents the forward-thinking aspirations and the vision of the University. It demonstrates how a new building can seamlessly integrate with pre-existing heritage. Whilst this project is developed to house various facilities, Armcor was keen to provide its specific models of Air Handling Units and Chilled/hot water coil energy recovery units catering to the particular installation specifications. The contractor required the units for circulating air as part of a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. The requirement was met with AHU3000P3 and the AHU3500P3. The external mount packaged units with capacities of 600l/sec, 7000 l/sec 3000 l/sec with chilled and hot water coils were slotted into the production line. Along with these ERV units, two of the AHU3500P3 with the capacity of 3500 l/sec and one of the AHU3000P3 with the capacity of 3000 l/sec was slotted in production too. The AHU series of air handling units are designed to distribute conditioned air to specific building areas in combination with an external energy source from a hot water boiler, chiller or DX System.

With the project only minutes away from the Armcor’s manufacturing facility, we were able to deliver these units as specified to the site effortlessly and on time, of course.
