The new performing arts wing at Newhaven College is well underway and due for its planned completion in late October in 2021. The planning for this building has taken several years and is one of the most exciting builds that the College has undertaken. This building will include a Concert Rehearsal Hall, a 120 seat Black Box Theatre, a state-of-the-art Recording Studio, and several classrooms for class music and private instrumental lessons. The external façade will also provide shelter for those waiting for buses in inclement weather. It will be Stage One of a two-part build, which in the future will see the addition of a large auditorium with a full stage. Newhaven College business manager Stuart Robinson said everyone at the school was looking forward to seeing the space open.
