The $149 million redevelopment project at Yatala Labour Prison supports the Government’s commitment to improving the State’s public prison system, strengthen security and drive down the rate of reoffending.
Construction of the full redevelopment is expected to be completed in April 2022. The main works will deliver the secure accommodation units, perimeter fencing, visits/admissions building and kitchen building.
Armcor Air Solutions have been pleased to be associated with the redevelopment project of Yatala Labour Prison in SA.
For the fit-out of the MainWorks Buildings C1 & C2, Armcor supplied its ‘Fresh Air Australian-Made’ Packaged Air Conditioning Equipments. The XEP – Packaged Air Conditioning unit, combines the efficiency of heat exchange integrated with a packaged air-conditioning system to provide a total solution to temperature control for applications that require substantial or full fresh air.
Armcor manufactured and assembled 8 units of XEP900P3, with a capacity of 900 l/sec and compressor capacity of 18Kw. Along with the XEP900P3, Armcor also manufactured and produced 4 units of the external rooftop XEP3500P3. These units had a capacity of 3500 l/sec and a compressor capacity of 78 kw. All these supplied units configuration suited external rooftop, as per the requirement of the project specification.
