RAAF Learmonth, also known as Learmonth Airport, is a joint use Royal Australian Air Force base and civil airport located near the town of Exmouth on the north-west coast of Western Australia

The refurbishment of existing buildings at RAAF Learmonth included a requirement for an outdoor air packaged air-conditioning system.

The equipment selected was a XEP3500P3AF with a capacity of 3500l/sec and 55 kW reverse cycle air-conditioning. A filter module was added to house the 600 deep bag filters. Fresh air dampers are controlled via a CO2 sensor and particular attention was given to the specific control requirements.

This developed into an individual design to suit the harsh climate of central Western Australia
