Launceston Airport underwent a $3.5 million terminal transformation project. The 600-square metre expansion includes new food and beverage offerings, and additional seating in air conditioned areas, designed to reflect the natural environment around the airport, including a feature timber ceiling and an extensive glass facade providing unparalleled airfield and mountain views.
Armcor manufactured and supplied the two 500 l/sec externally located Xchange units incorporating a full packaged air-conditioning system combined with heat recovery. The design included 96kw of cooling capacity, a return air bypass system, internal epoxy coating, 50 kw electric elements and control wiring to intergrate with the BMS.
