Leading Australian hotel investment and development company, Pro-Invest, will open a Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sunshine Coast in Maroochydore Town Centre in 2020, following the purchase of a prime site in Maroochydore and lodgement of a development application with Economic Development Queensland for a new select-service upper midscale hotel. The 167- room hotel will be in the heart of the new Maroochydore CBD, which is set to become the commercial and administrative hub of the rapidly growing Sunshine Coast region. Construction has commenced on the new-build Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sunshine Coast in the heart of Maroochydore, Queensland.  Pro-invest co-CEO Jan Smits said the hotel will bring a new level of accommodation to Maroochydore CBD.

The nine-storey Holiday Inn Express & Suites is planned to have 167 rooms, a swimming pool, bar and dining venue, conference and function facilities, and ground-level retail. The new Maroochydore CBD is set to be a vibrant hub of commerce, technology, innovation, entertainment and inner-city living, and will – according to Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk – “cement the Sunshine Coast as one of Queensland’s, and Australia’s, best-performing regional economies.” The Holiday Inn Express brand is ideal for the destination as its midscale positioning will make it highly-suitable for targeting business, meetings and leisure travellers. National construction company Minicon have been engaged to undertake the construction scheduled for May 2022.

Armcor worked with the Queensland based Contractor to successfully provide the equipment as the specific need of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sunshine Coast, QLD. This recent construction required a packaged air-conditioning unit for the commercial and administrative hub of the rapidly growing Sunshine Coast region.

The two units of XEP2500P3 with 2500 l/sec capacity and a compressor capacity of 52 kW were scheduled for manufacturing and production. With the standard inclusions of Two Fixed Speed Compressor and Sensible Heat Exchange Media the unit configuration suited external rooftop or ground level applications & included energy-saving EC Plug Fans.

The XEP combines the efficiency of heat exchange integrated with a packaged airconditioning system to provide a total solution to temperature control for applications that require substantial or full fresh air.

Armcor is always proud to provide state of the art, energy efficient solutions, to airconditioning consultants and contractors, that will reliably and economically create happier, healthier environments at a price that reflects the engineering and efficiency of our systems.
