Location: Carlingford, NSW
Contractor: Crest Airconditioning Pty Ltd
The NSW Government is investing a record $1.3 billion on school maintenance over five years, along with a record $500 million for the sustainable Cooler Classrooms program to provide air conditioning to schools. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
The Cooler Classrooms program has set a standard in energy efficiency by utilising energy recovery equipment to condition the fresh air requirement for the classrooms.
One of the projects that Armcor supplied equipment for was the Carlingford Public School which required 11 units with 300 – 600 l/sec capacity.
Added to the specifications was ‘sound wavebar’ external acoustic insulation and backdraft dampers. Using standard Armcor designs and adding the extras provided the optimum, efficient and quality products to suit the project.
