Location: Melbourne, VIC
Contractor: Ellis Airconditioning Pty Ltd
This $560m project at 308 Exhibition Street, is set to be one of Melbourne’s most iconic projects, with the two luxury towers connected by an innovative sky bridge on level 46. Tower 1 will predominantly be residential apartments, and Tower 2 is a 5-star hotel housing the first Shangri-La operated hotel in Melbourne.
The towers will offer a world-class arrival experience from the Porte cochere through to the hotel and residential lobby areas via a three-storey glazed void overlooking the World Heritage-listed exhibition building and surrounding gardens.
Construction is anticipated to take three years and the project is expected to generate over 1,000 jobs during construction and initial hotel operational period: representing a significant economic impact for Victoria.
Armcor Air Solutions worked with the Contractor to deliver its XEC Chilled/ Hot Water Coil Units for the Melbourne’s state-of-the-art project. Armcor met the customised requirements of the filter, plenums and frames for the units to be manufactured.
Four XEC units were manufactured and delivered. XEC12000P3 with sensible media and chilled water coils, XEC3000P3 with sensible media and chilled water and hot water coils and two units of XEC6000P3 with sensible media and chilled and hot water coils were put into the manufacturing and production schedule. These XEC series combines ERV with an inbuilt chilled water and/or hot water coils to condition the air following the heat recovery process. The unit configuration suits external rooftop or plant room applications and is available with forward curved centrifugal fans or energy saving EC Plug Fans and an option of enthalpy or sensible plate heat exchange media.
Armcor prides in delivering state of the art, energy efficient solutions, to air-conditioning consultants and contractors, that will reliably and economically create happier, healthier environments at a price that reflects the engineering and efficiency of our systems.
