Yarra Ranges Council is embarking on a Civic Centre Redevelopment, $26M project at its Anderson Street offices in Lilydale. The project involves the construction and refurbishment of office space and the creation of new public space that will be available for Council and community use. Works are continuing with the construction site and the contractor has made significant progress to the second stage of the new building. Construction of the new council headquarters began in January 2019, and despite some minor Covid-19 setbacks, it remains on track to be opened to the community in early 2022.

This major project involves extensive refurbishment and extension to the council’s Anderson Street offices into a flexible multi-purpose centre. The contractor – Contract Air Conditioning Pty Ltd approached Armcor Air Solutions for our packaged air conditioning units. Armcor were pleased to offer their XEP units to meet the specific requirements of the redevelopment works. Three XEP economy cycle units were put into the manufacturing & production schedule. Two units of the XEP1500P with a capacity of 1500l/sec and a compressor capacity of 32Kw including the Enthalpy Heat exchange media were put in the production. One unit of XEP2000P3E with a capacity of 2000l/sec and a compressor capacity of 46Kw including the Enthalpy Heat exchange media was also produced along with the other two units.

The XEP combines the efficiency of heat exchange integrated with a packaged air conditioning system to provide a total solution to temperature control for applications that require substantial or full fresh air. The unit configuration suits external rooftop or ground level applications and includes energy-saving EC Plug Fans and the option of enthalpy or sensible heat exchange media.

These units were manufactured as per standard specifications and delivered in a timely manner to the construction site.
