100% Outdoor Air Temperature Control Equipment for Food Processing Plant

Scalzo Foods is a privately-owned business that began operations in 1977. The company capabilities are food ingredient supply, as partners to retailers and manufacturing. It is an agile, growth orientated business that focuses on innovation and adding value to drive mutually beneficial partnerships.
Scalzo are developing a purpose-built facility across 35,300 square metres at Ravenhall, Victoria.

The new facility will include manufacturing, warehousing and a corporate head office for Scalzo Foods and is to be completed by late 2020.

The project involves specialist equipment for food manufacturing and packaging. Some of this equipment has called for special design for the ‘fit for purpose manufacturing rooms’ which have been designed with factors such as hygiene, fire separation, insulation, air-flows and pressures in mind, along with meeting best practice food industry construction standards.

Armcor was pleased to be associated with the design of the Temperature and Humidity control of 100% outdoor air systems, suppling 6 units with specific requirements that provided packaged heating and cooling equipment with digital scroll compressors and coils designed to cater for an entering air of 34.6°Cdb/20.6°Cwb and a leaving air of 16.9°Cdb/14.0°Cwb.

Incorporating inlet Bag filters and outlet HEPA filters, EC plug fans and dump-back dampers, these units were commissioned in the factory ready for a quick and easy site installation.
