Metlifecare–Edgewater Village is the new retirement village in Pakuranga, Auckland, New Zealand.

This village is a real gem set on four acres of flat botanical gardens, communal greens and vegetable patches in residential East Auckland.

The building will feature three sheltered courtyards, a pool, gym, spa, hair salon and wellness area, and will include a library, games room, cinema and lounge bar and café.

Every indoor pool centre needs specific attention given to air quality, indoor design temperatures, and humidity control.

The mechanical services team chose the optimum way to condition this space. The design included an Armcor Swimming pool packaged Energy Recovery Unit. With 21 kW heating and cooling capacity, the unit installed will effectively and efficiently recover the energy and condition the fresh air for occupant comfort.
