Following a $100 Million-plus makeover the 145-year-old, heritage-listed seaside hotel – with its multiple venues, new Intercontinental hotel and adjoined spa and wellness centre is poised to become one of the biggest destinations in the region.

The late-night venue will have 13 dining and drinking spaces, including a public bar, beer garden, dance floor, rooftop deck, pool, and signature restaurant, Audrey’s.

The accommodation side of things, the Intercontinental Sorrento Mornington, delivers 108 hotel rooms, some with ocean views, 24-hour in-room dining, a wellness centre, an outdoor pool and a gym.

Armcor was delighted to be a part of the refurbishment project at the Hotel Continental, Sorrento. The specific requirements were raised by the contractor for the SPA & Wellness Centre. Armcor with its engineering and design expertise proposed their ERV PAC corrosion resistant XES Series. The XES Series are particularly designed with the specific need to overcome condensation and corrosive nature of the chlorine laden air. With the capacity of 3500 l/sec, and compressor capacity of 74 kw, including EC Plug fans, and polypropylene plate heat exchange media the unit was slotted into the production line.

The cabinet and components of the units are lined with a corrosion-resistant coating. The unit configuration suits external rooftop or plant room applications.
