Balgownie Estate is a prime vantage point to explore Melbourne’s Yarra Valley. Balgownie is a luxurious destination for weddings, retreats, professional conferences, and private events. If 2020 was a difficult year for the hospitality industry, the team at Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley has had it tougher than most after a fire burnt the restaurant to the ground between lockdowns last June. But 18 months on, the restaurant is back, bigger, better and with a new moniker, 1309 @ Balgownie, the name reflecting the estate’s Melba Highway address.
The new restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner to the public -seven days a week – from mid-January 2022 whilst the four and a half star Yarra Valley resort is also taking bookings for meetings, events and functions now – for events to be held from mid-January 2022 onwards. The new multi-million dollar rebuild follows several months of planning and design led by ZWEI Interiors & Architecture. Balgownie Estate’s new restaurant, 1309 @ Balgownie – taking its name from the winery’s address in Victoria’s premier wine region – caters for around 100 guests.
Armcor worked with the contractor M & L Scott Pty Ltd on the new multi-million dollar rebuild to the home to 5-star Balgownie Wines, at Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley.
The project was quite a typical one which required the equipment as per the specific custom need of the rebuild. Armcor was pleased to use its impeccable design, engineering, and manufacturing expertise to put together custom made, manufactured in Australia XEP4000P3 for the business. The unit suits external Rooftop and included EC Plug Fans with the Sensible Heat Exchange Media.
With the standard capacity of 4,000 l/sec, and a nominal compressor capacity of 80kW, the XEP 4000P3 was slotted into the production line with economy cycle and inclusions of Two BLDC Inverter Compressor.
Armcor was proud to be a part of the newly refurbished deck, brand-new Restaurant 1309 at Balgownie.
