INDEC cooling proves the answer for Prison Cooling.

Indirect Evaporative Cooling is a established concept but has only become a reality for projects over the past few years. Utilising the evaporative principle, but without adding additional moisture to the air has greatly enhanced the offering.

Working with System Solutions Engineerning, the Bluebush and Greenbush cell blocks at the Port Augusta Prison underwent an air-conditioning upgrade and the INDEC was chosen as an ideal way to introduce fresh cool air.

The two units with a capacity of 6000 l/sec and 4500 l/sec wer manufactured in Australia for the SA conditions and transported to site in May 2020 for installation.

The INDEC range incorporated inbuilt filters and 0-10V speed controllable EC Plug fans for the most efficient operation.

Armcor and System Solutions has again collaborated to incorporate this sustainable Dual Evaporative Technology into projects like the Port Augusta Prison that demand large volumes of conditioned outside air.
