Civil works for the Rufous St Community House at Peregian Beach are underway for the construction of the $3 million facility. This vibrant space is expected to build on Noosa’s reputation as a centre for innovation, creativity and technology, attracting new businesses and diversifying the local economy. The Rufous Street project, stage three comprises a Community House with an increased number of hire / meeting rooms complemented by a greenspace of 4000m2, with sculptured gardens, a play area, winding footpaths and grassed areas. Once the new Community House is operating the existing Community House will be closed and refurbished into an extension of the Peregian Digital Hub. The project was due to be completed late last year in 2020 but was delayed. Construction is due to finish in October 2021.
Armcor is associated with the Peregian Community Housing Redevelopment project. Stage 3 of the Rufous Street Precinct in Peregian Beach is set to get underway, after Council approved a multi-million dollar construction tender. Armcor supplied its Packaged Airconditioning unit with economy cycle to provide a total solution to temperature control for applications that require fresh air. With a capacity of 1700 l/sec and cooling capacity of 37Kw the XEP1700P3E was assembled and delivered for the Community House. The unit configuration suits external rooftop or ground level applications and includes energy-saving EC Plug Fans and the enthalpy heat exchange media. Read more about the XEP range here.
Apart from the supply of the XEP unit, Armcor also assembled and delivered two of their compact multiflow energy recovery ERV units to recover the energy from the exhaust air into the incoming fresh air, resulting in significant energy savings. The XCM series is a compact, horizontal low-profile ceiling mount heat recovery unit designed for installation within a roof space.
