‘The Marsden’ Hotel & Brewery, is the newest venue for the Laundy Hotels Group. The hotel and brewery include a variety of spaces, from family dining and kids playground areas, public bars and lounges, to outdoor sports and gaming areas, spread across 5,900sqm of indoor and outdoor spaces. The 20 beer barrel brew house, which will produce between 10,000 and 15,000 barrels of beer per year, will be spread across two levels, including a large atrium allowing the brewery operations and tasting bar to be visible from all areas of the hotel. A conference and function centre on the first floor, with its own kitchen and multiple bars, will accommodate up to 400 guests for weddings and corporate events.
The clients design called for some special adaptions to the standard unit designs to provide efficient and effective fresh air treatment. The 4000 L/sec Energy Recovery Packaged AC unit was manufactured with a bottom entry return air. The 1700 L/sec packaged unit had an 83 kW cooling capacity to condition the fresh air requirements.
When you have the right equipment, configured in the correct format, the installation can be dramatically optimised and the end result is a properly engineered solution.
