Armcor equipment at the heart of the most technologically advanced mine.
The Koodaideri project is set to be Rio Tinto’s most technologically advanced mine, leveraging equipment such as autonomous trucks, trains, and drills, and incorporating more than 70 design innovations in scope including digital twins.
Koodaideri phase one will help sustain Rio Tinto’s existing production capacity by replacing depletion elsewhere in the system.
With construction expected to be completed by late 2021, the HVAC design centred around two Armcor ERV units to supply controlled conditioned fresh air.
Each unit incorporates hot and chilled water coils, an economy damper system, and EC plug fans giving the best option for energy recovery, efficiency, and equipment life cycle.
Armcor was able to effortlessly provide equipment to meet the specifications, provide reliable performance with minimum maintenance.
