IKEA is a Swedish-origin Dutch -headquartered multinational conglomerate that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories, among other goods and home services. IKEA operates 10 stores across the country, with a location in each state and territory bar the Northern Territory and Tasmania. It holds about 16 per cent of Australia’s $8 billion furniture market. Adelaide is the administrative center of the state of South Australia and the fifth largest city in the country. The first and so far the only IKEA store in the city opened in 2006.

Armcor were pleased to be associated with the AHU Replacement project for Ikea Adelaide. Armcor have always strived to create happier, healthier environments delivering state of the art, energy efficient solutions, to the consultants and contractors. Airmaster Australia, approached Armcor, leading air handling unit manufacturer in Australia for the AHU Replacement at Ikea, Adelaide.

Armcor slotted 16 AHU units into manufacturing and production schedule to suit the requirement of the project. Our standard range of these units were supplied for capacities of 3500-16,000 l/sec. This AHU design suits rooftop or plant room applications and are fully factory assembled and internally wired, and fitted with large access doors allowing for service, cleaning, and maintenance. For the Ikea replacement project, they were provided with the hot water and chilled water coils along with EC Plug Fan.

Armcor have been proud to deliver another successful, “Australian-made” project on time.
