A new secondary school is set to open in Fishermans Bend from the start of the 2022 school year “Port Melbourne Secondary College” which was previously known by its interim name, Fishermans Bend Secondary School, during the planning phase. The state-of-the-art school will have an enrolment capacity of 1,100 students. It will showcase environmentally sustainable design and feature high-tech amenities, including a fabrication lab and robotics workshop. The school will also have a strong focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths). There will also be an array of arts, food technology, sports and Learning Resource Centre spaces that can be shared with the community.
Armcor equipment was selected to provide the fresh air requirements and the energy efficient operation looked for. The XEP Packaged Airconditioning Units and the XCM Compact Multiflow were chosen to be manufactured and delivered to site.
The XEP5000P3 and XEP2500P3 provided a total solution to temperature control for applications that require substantial or full fresh air. With a standard capacity of 5000 L/sec and 2500 l/sec these units included energy-saving EC Plug Fans and the enthalpy heat exchange media.
Apart from the XEP, XCM series is a compact, horizontal low-profile ceiling mount heat recovery unit designed for installation within a roof space. Armcor supplied their units of XCM300P1, XCM600P1, XCM400P1 and XCM200P1 to suffice various specifications of the project. Both enthalpy and sensible heat exchange media are available for these units. The option of EC Plug Fans makes this our star achiever in energy savings and controllability.
Another project efficacious completed delivering reliably and economically happier, healthier environments at a price that reflects the engineering and efficiency of our systems.
