The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation is an Australian Government agency responsible for scientific research. CSIRO is an Australia’s national science agency and innovation catalyst, collaborating to boost Australia’s innovation performance. Since CSIRO started life as the Advisory Council of Science and Industry in 1916, is has advanced Australia with a range of inventions and innovations that have had significant positive impact on the lives of people around the world. These include fast Wi-Fi, polymer banknotes, the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet, and Aerogard, just to name a few.
CSIRO is one of the most multidisciplinary research organisations in the world with staff located at multiple sites throughout Australia and overseas. In NSW CSIRO has several sites in Sydney and multiple regional locations where we carry out research. The researchers at Lindfield, NSW work mostly on physics and materials sciences.
Armcor Air Solutions collaborated with the mechanical contractor to provide the most energy efficient fresh air, Australian made solution for CSIRO Energy Gas Labs, NSW. Armcor used its design, engineering, and manufacturing expertise for providing their Air Handling Unit (AHU) which is used to condition and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system.
The AHU2000P3 and AHU3000P3 units were selected ranging from 2000 l/sec to 3000 l/sec capacity. The design included hot water and chilled water coils, EC Plug fans and stainless-steel drain trays. These unit designs suit rooftop or plant room applications. They are fully factory assembled and internally wired, and fitted with large access doors allowing for service, cleaning, and maintenance.
Owing to the specific requirement, the units were supplied and delivered split. Armcor Air Solutions accomplished the project specific needs of manufacturing and delivery by imparting a hassle-free project within the set timelines.
