Fresh air for the new Crowne Plaza Hobart will be supplied through an Energy Recovery unit by Armcor.

The new Crowne Plaza feature a range of business and meetings facilities including a ballroom, meeting rooms, boardroom and 24-hour business centre. Guests will also be able to enjoy the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant and unwind at the bar or work out at the fully equipped fitness centre.  All these areas have requirements for quality conditioned fresh air.

The ideal way to get the most efficient fresh air conditioning is with an energy recovery unit that recovers the heat from the exhaust air.  In this situation Armcor coupled a chilled water and hot water coil into the unit added an economy cycle and by-pass damper to provide a packaged unit that will fulfil the necessary specifications for such a prestigious project.
