The land on which the Cathedral of Praise stands was purchased in 1980. At the time, there were very few buildings as far out on the north side of the city. Building of the Cathedral of Praise worship centre commenced in 1982 and it was officially opened in November of that year.

Since its opening, the church has continued to grow and thrive as God leads our Senior Pastor, Claude Fingleton. This has included the addition of Heights College, which was found in 1989, as well as numerous renovations, refurbishments, and extensions to the Cathedral of Praise Church Rockhampton, including the Children’s and Youth Centre.

Armcor Air solutions were approached by the Queensland based contractor to provide a packaged airconditioning unit for the refurbishments and extensions to the Cathedral of Praise Church Rockhampton. The Cathedral of Praise Church Rockhampton needed a total solution to temperature control by the use of substantial or full fresh air.

Armcor used its Design, Engineering and Manufacturing expertise to put forward its XEP3500P3 in the economy cycle as per the specifications and need for the project. With the standard capacity of 3500 l/sec and a nominal compressor capacity of 74 Kw the unit configuration included EC Plug fans and an enthalpy heat exchange media. This unit was also supplied in an economy system which is easily accommodated with modulation dampers to further increase efficiency in favourable ambient conditions.

The XEP combines the efficiency of heat exchange integrated with a packaged airconditioning system to provide a total solution to temperature control for applications that require substantial or full fresh air. The unit configuration suits external rooftop or ground level applications.
