Location: Canberra, ACT
Contractor: CCS Mechanical Installations Pty Ltd

25 Catalina Drive project at Majura Park involves the construction of a new 26,500m2 (GFA) PCA Grade office building for the Canberra Airport. The building will be a 6-storey full curtain wall façade concrete structure, with roof top plant and back of house services. There will be two lift cores, including a goods lift, end of trip facilities and a substantial closed glass atrium.

Armcor Air Solutions provided the Energy Recovery XEC units to suit the requirements of the 25 Catalina Drive project. One each of XEC1200P3 and XEC800P3 were put into the production schedule. The economy system was easily accommodated by increasing the width of the unit to allow bypass for both fresh and exhaust air. Both these units were supplied in the economy system.

The unit configuration suits external rooftop or plant room applications and was made available with energy saving EC Plug Fans and the Sensible plate heat exchange media. The XEC1200P3 was manufactured and assembled with the hot water coil unit and the XEC800P3 with the chilled/ hot water coil unit. The XEC series combines ERV with an inbuilt chilled water and/or hot water coils to condition the air following the heat recovery process.

Armcor Air Solutions was provided a state-of-the-art, energy efficient solution to meet the specifications providing reliable performance and create economically happier, healthier environments.
