Mt Isa Hospital
The $65.19 million Mount Isa Hospital redevelopment will improve health service access, provide an environment that supports contemporary models of care, and improve patient facilities and staff amenities.
Extensive redevelopment has seen the construction of a new outpatient’s centre, oral health and mental health facilities, and upgrades to the existing medical and surgical ward.
The emergency department was relocated into a purpose built facility with state of the art equipment and facilities and the new regional cancer care unit has greater capability to support increased cancer services that will allow patients to be treated locally.
Ten Air handling units with capacities from 900 l/sec to 2500 l/sec were needed for this project. With varying capacities and unique characteristics, Armcor was able to put the production into gear and get the project turned around and transported to site in time so that installation could be effortlessly completed.
