Packaged Airconditioning with ERV for Ford Design Centre

Ford has transformed its iconic head office in the Melbourne suburb of Broadmeadows into a new product development centre as part of a $50 million dollar investment to enhance vehicle engineering capability and drive innovation in Australia.

The new Asia Pacific Product Development Centre, which features state-of-the-art virtual design and engineering capability, will be the centrepiece of Australia’s most advanced automotive development campus.

The centre positions Ford as the automaker with the most comprehensive capability to design and engineer vehicles in Australia.

Armcor was selected by PJM Engineering Services to provide packaged airconditioning equipment with ERV for the project.

The solution – which comprises seven energy recovery ventilator (ERV) units, ranging from 1200 l/sec to 1700 l/sec with a cooling capacity up to 32 kW – will supply conditioned fresh air into the buildings for optimum performance and occupant comfort.

The design includes a full economy system so that even greater efficiency can be obtained when the ambient temperatures are favourable.

Armcor is thrilled to have contributed to the creation of this ultimate in hi-tech vehicle design centre.

Ford and Armcor share similar values: a commitment to develop the next generation of top quality engineered products.
